Our knee and sports rehabilitation center is built on the concept that sports rehabilitation, fitness and cardiovascular conditioning must go hand in hand in order to return individuals to their pre-injury states. Consequently, our physiotherapy center boasts a complete line of cardiovascular cross-training equipment including elliptical trainers, stair steppers, bicycles and treadmills as well as all of equipment found in any modern sports rehabilitation center. It also incorporates a full line of Cybex's most technically advanced strengthening machines. This set up allows us to rehabilitate our patients back to the highest possible level of function. It also allows us to safely strengthen and condition individuals or athletes who are not able to participate in activities or sports due to injury.

Perhaps the thing that sets our center apart from all others in the UAE is the staff. Heading our sports rehabilitation department is

David Baston David is a 1992 physical therapy graduate of Northeastern University – Boston, USA. He is one of only 500 physical therapists in the United States to be designated as a "Sports Certified Specialist" by the American Physical Therapy Association. In conjunction, Dave is also a "Certified Strengthening and Conditioning Specialist" as defined by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, USA.

For the past 17 years Dave has headed successful, private sports clinics in the U.S. as well as serving as a lecturer/consultant for the University of Massachusetts, the American Liver Foundation, the American Stroke Association, and the New England Health Racquet and Sports Association. He has consulted for various running clubs, health clubs and triathlon clubs performing lectures and sports rehabilitation services.

Since 1999 Dave has been serving as a sports rehabilitation consultant in parts of Middle East and Europe.

Having worked with Dr. Charles Brown for nearly 10 years in the U.S., David joined Dr. Brown’s visiting surgical team in 2001, traveling to Abu Dhabi on numerous occasions to provide rehabilitation for post surgical ACL patients as well as to provide training for local physical therapists.

David is an active member of the Sports Chapter of The American Physical Therapy Association, the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Azzam Kamal our senior staff physical therapist brings many years of experience in the sports rehabilitation field. After obtaining his Master of Science Degree of Physical Rehabilitation from Ukraine University in 1998, he completed a graduate program at the National University, Kiev – Ukraine specializing in the field of sports traumatology.

Azzam has spent nearly 10 years perfecting his skills as a staff member of the Kiev Sports Medicine Center as well as serving as the senior orthopedic physical therapist at Zayed Military Hospital from 2003 – 2007.

It was at Zayed Military Hospital that he took a special interest in sports knee rehabilitation. As his knowledge and skills grew, Azzam was entrusted by Dr. Brown and his visiting team to care for their surgical patients once they had left the UAE. His skill level and competence ultimately led to a special invitation for Azzam to join the ADKSMC team.

In conjunction, Azzam has served as the chief physical therapist for the Bani Yas Sports Club. As a physical therapist, he has also worked with Al Jazeera Sports Club Football Academy, the Emirates Sport Club and the Al Buraimi Football Club in Oman.

Azzam is also a registered member of the Asia Sports Medicine Congress.
